Posted by Kyle Brookings on Saturday, November 10, 2018

There is a system in the tropical Atlantic that has a shot at developing.

It is located several hundred kilometers east of the Lesser Antilles is currently producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

Development of this system is not expected during the next couple of days due to unfavorable environmental conditions. However, some subtropical or tropical development is possible around the middle of next week when the system moves near or to the north of the Greater Antilles.

The next named storm will be Patty.

Hurricane season runs to November 30th.
