An area of low pressure is centered several hundred kilometers off the coast of Azores.

The system is showing some signs of organization and a tropical depression could form within a few days.

This morning, satellite imagery shows that shower and thunderstorm activity have increased.

Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for some additional development.

The system is moving toward the northeast.

The next named storm will be Sean. There have been seventeen named storms so far this year. Hurricane Season ends on November 30th.
