Watch Out - BBQ Danger

Keep an eye on your favorite barbecue brush - especially the wire bristle ones.

A bristle from a well-used brush could come loose and remain on the grill after a cleaning.
Unknowingly, you could eat one, while you eat your barbecue fare, and it could get lodged in your throat etc.  It could mean a trip to the hospital.

The wire bristles are so small you may not notice them until it is too late. Unnoticed, they could stick to the food when you take it off the grill.

Here are a couple of suggestions that are safer - use tongs and tinfoil to clean a grill or use tongs and half an onion - turn the barbecue on high, and using tongs push half an onion back and forth on the dirty grill. The acid from the onion will clean the bits of food off the grill safely. It will stick to the onion.
