Warmer Air to Thaw Atlantic Canada

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Sunday, January 7, 2018

Warm air from the south will push across portions of Atlantic Canada beginning on Thursday.

Nova Scotia will see the warmest air first with high's on Thursday expected to reach about 7 degrees.

New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island will see warmer air near plus 5 on Thursday.

Late Thursday and Friday Newfoundland will see highs near 7, increasing to near 10 degrees next Saturday.

Warmer air will lead to more rain or freezing precipitation as opposed to snow.

The warmer weather will stick around until about Monday when Arctic air invades again. It looks as though this air could bring temperatures down 20 degrees in spots. Should this transpire, it will lead to a quick freeze.
