Warm Wednesday across Ontario

Wednesday was a very warm day across Southern Ontario and the National Capital Region. As a result several new record maximum temperatures were set across the region.

Here are some numbers from Environment Canada

Location and new maximum temperature record 
Windsor 13.2 breaks old record 9.8 C set in 1991 
Chatham 13 estimated breaks old record 9.0 set in 1991 
Ridgetown 13.5 breaks old record 8.5 set in 1991 
Sarnia 15.0 breaks old record 7.9 C set in 1991 
Delhi 13.8 breaks old record 7.6 set in 2003 
London 14.7 breaks old record 7.8 set in 1991 
Brantford 13.7 breaks old record 8.9 set in 1890 
Welland 13.3 breaks old record 8.0 set in 1991 
Vineland 14.8 breaks old record 9.5 set in 1991 
Kitchener 13.0 breaks old record 7.1 set in 1991 
Elora 10.9 breaks old record 6.3 set in 1991 
Guelph 12.3 breaks old record 8.0 set in 1991 
Toronto Pearson 14.5 breaks old record 9.3 set in 1991 
Toronto City 11.3 breaks old record 10.0 set in 1842 
Buttonville Airport 11.9 breaks old record 10.6 set in 1991 
Oshawa 9.2 breaks old record 8.5 set in 1991 
Trenton 7.6 breaks old record 6.4 set in 1991

Just for comparison the normal maximum temperature for Toronto is -2°C. The normal maximum temperature for Ottawa is -5°C.
