 Carole Chantler | February 5

A warm front that is over western Saskatchewan and is moving toward the east.

Mild temperatures are on the menu for Friday, especially in southern Saskatchewan where daytime highs will likely get into the teens. These temperatures may break records. The normal temperature for today in Regina is minus 5. The warmest temperature ever recorded in February in Regina was 15.6 recorded back on February 28, 1932.

Meanwhile in the southwestern Northwest Territories and northern Alberta on Friday night, 5-10 cm of snow is possible from near Wrigley to Fort McMurray.

As well there a chance of rain or freezing rain on the warm side and across central Alberta.
