Despite the brief return of the extreme cold, a warm up is on the way to the eastern half of the Prairies.

A warm front over Saskatchewan will push eastward this weekend.

As it does so it will bring temperatures upward.

On Saturday Winnipeg could reach a high of -13°C, compared to -20°C today.

The front will also be driven by a low pressure system that will could spread 5 to 10 cm of snow across northern Manitoba.
