Warm up and Windy for Alberta

Posted by on Friday, February 5, 2016

Warmer air moved in to Alberta yesterday with temperatures in the mid single digits.
Today many areas are projected to make it well above the freezing mark.
Westerly winds will strengthen to 80 gusting 100 km/h for much of southwestern Alberta late Friday morning. The strong winds are expected to persist for most of the day.
Temperatures will likely remain above the freezing mark for major areas over the next several days. Especially in Calgary where daytime highs are expected to soar into the mid teens.
