Posted by Kyle Brookings on Wednesday, November 21, 2018

The Volcano of Fire has sent about 4,000 people fleeing their homes.

Located in Guatemala, the volcano is spewing lava, prompting evacuations.

10 communities have been urged to evacuate as there are signs of increased activity at the volcano.

Material from the volcano has flew 1000 meters into the air.

The primary concern is ash, rock, mud and debris that may consume entire towns.

On June 3 of this year an eruption resulted in at least 159 deaths and at least 300 injuries, 256 missing persons and residents being evacuated, and the closure of La Aurora International Airport.
