Regardless of political belief, the U.S. Government shutdown is having more impacts than meets the eye.

One of the impacts is in some National Parks.

Everything from the lack of maintenance to trash piling up is causing the closure of some parks.

So far parks with listed closures are Yosemite National Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Big Bend National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, and Pinnacles National Park.

The government shutdown began on December 22.
