Updated 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Forecast

NOAA has released an updated outlook for the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season on Thursday. 

The agency now says there a higher probability of an at-or-above normal season. 

NOAA now expects 12-17 Named Storms, 5-8 Hurricanes, and 2-4 Major Hurricanes.

Multiple factors are n play for the change. El Niño is ending, there are weaker vertical wind shear and weaker trade winds over the central tropical Atlantic, and a stronger west African monsoon.
