Back on November 11th there was unusual seismic waves recorded around the world, including here in Canada.

Scientists are unsure what caused it.

It originated off the southeast coast of Africa then was observed in Chile, New Zealand, Canada and in Hawaii.

It isn't believed to be an earthquake because earthquakes typically release all of its energy in one pulse. But there was no earthquake large enough to fuel a wave like the one recorded across such a widespread area.

It may have been linked to linked to an earthquake swarm.

No one felt it.
