Unsettled Weather Across Atlantic Canada

An area of low pressure over the Maritimes will intensify today and will have an impact on Newfoundland and Labrador tonight and tomorrow.

In western New Brunswick snow will begin this morning, 10 to 15 cm are expected, although higher amounts are possible over higher terrain.

Total rainfall amounts near 50 mm are expected over eastern mainland Nova Scotia, with up to 70 mm possible over parts of Cape Breton Island.

Overnight tonight strong winds are expected for western and southwestern Newfoundland. Most areas will also see heavy rain with amounts of 40 mm possible in the heaviest rain.

Snow is expected across Labrador.
