Unseasonably Mild Across the Prairies

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Sunday, December 10, 2017

It doesn't feel like December across a good chunk of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Unseasonably mild conditions continue over the area.

Today across Saskatchewan, daytime high's up to 8 is possible in the southwestern corner of the Province.

In Alberta, we could climb to over 10 degrees in southern sections.

Daytime highs reached 15 in Calgary yesterday, Edmonton got up to 8, Regina reached 3, and Saskatoon saw a high of 4.

We should be seeing temperatures around minus 6 to minus 8 in southern Saskatchewan and just below freezing in southern Alberta.

This week looks nice for the most part with no major weather-makers on the horizon.

At the same time a weather system will track into will track through central Saskatchewan this afternoon bringing a mix of rain or snow, and a risk of freezing rain.
