The Blue Mesa Reservoir is an artificial reservoir located on the upper reaches of the Gunnison River in Gunnison County, Colorado.

Both humans and animals can be effected by the toxins.

Anyone visiting the park should avoid any contact with shallow water and avoid fishing or boating in impacted areas.
