At the climate summit in Poland the chief of the U.N. opened with a dire warning to world leaders.

There will be catastrophic consequences if we fail to take drastic action.

Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that action is needed now.

Guterres said, “even as we witness devastating climate impacts causing havoc across the world, we are still not doing enough, nor moving fast enough, to prevent irreversible and catastrophic climate disruption.”

U.N. General Assembly President Maria Espinosa also chimed in stating that humans are "in danger of disappearing."
