Typhoon Lan Kills Two

Two people have lost their lives from Typhoon Lan lashed Japan.

The first causality was a 70-year-old man who died when his boat had engine trouble. The second person was killed when strong winds toppled scaffolding at a construction site.

The storm brought wind speeds over 150 km/h and pounding rain.

The storm made landfall on Honshu early Monday.

More than 381,000 were forced to evacuate.

Report also indicate flooding and landslides.

At least 17 people sustained injuries.

Both flights and rail service was suspended.
