Typhoon Jebi Could Pose Threat to Japan

Typhoon Jebi is expected to strengthen and could pose a threat to Japan next week.

Early next week Jebi is expected to deliver flooding rain and wind to the Northern Mariana Islands and Iwo To.

As of Wednesday afternoon Jebi strengthened into a typhoon. It is expected to continue to gather strength over the weekend.

On Thursday evening Jebi had maximum sustained wind of 162 km/h.
