Two Dead From Noru

Posted by on Tuesday, August 8, 2017

So far two people have been confirmed dead from what is now Tropical Depression Noru.

Both of the fatalities were in the southern Japanese islands.

The storm lashed Japan with strong wind and flooding rains.

Both of the JMA and the JTWC downgraded Noru to a tropical storm as the weakening system tracked over the Japanese Alps.

Tropical Depression Noru was at one point the strongest storm on Earth.

Typhoon Noru was the third-longest-lasting tropical cyclone of the Northwest Pacific Ocean on record.
