Troubling Observations in the Arctic

There is something in the Arctic that resembles a heat wave, at least by Arctic standards.

Greenland's northernmost weather station has been recording temperatures above freezing recently when the temperatures should be about minus 20. 

In some areas temperatures are about 40 degrees above average.

According to scientists studying the area, this is the warmest the Arctic has been in over a thousand years.
