Transport Canada Grounds West Wind Aviation Planes

Transport Canada has ordered all West Wind Aviation planes to be grounded.

Transport Canada has suspended the company's Air Operator Certificate over what the agency describes as public safety concerns.

The move comes following a plane crash on December 13 in Fond-du-Lac where 25 people on-board sustained serious injuries and there were no fatalities.

West Wind Aviation has deficiencies in their Operational Control System.

The company will work comply with aviation safety regulations.

West Wind Aviation Limited Partnership is Saskatchewan's second-largest commercial aviation group with a fleet of 31 aircraft.
