Tornadoes in Alabama Kill 14

At least 14 people were killed on Sunday in southeastern Alabama as damaging tornadoes winds swept through the area.

All of the deaths were in Lee County, northeast of Montgomery.

The death toll is expected to rise.

Governor Kay Ivey extended a previous state of emergency declaration.

Ivey said in a tweet, "our hearts go out to those who lost their lives in the storms that hit Lee County today. Praying for their families & everyone whose homes or businesses were affected."

The Storm Prediction Center received 24 reports of tornadoes. There were also reports of damaging wind and large hail.
