Tornado Kills Two Children in Mississippi

At least two people are dead following violent storms stretching from Texas to Mississippi on Saturday and Saturday night.

The two deceased were two children.

Several other people are injured and several are missing.

The hardest hit area was in Monroe County, Mississippi. Several homes were damaged, power was knocked out, and large trees fell onto roads.

Franklin, Texas saw an EF-3 tornado that delivered significant damage and there was another strong tornado in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

More severe weather is expected today in the Ohio Valley, southern Appalachians, northeast Gulf Coast, Carolina and the Mid-Atlantic.
