Too Warm in Yukon

Posted by on Wednesday, November 30, 2016

Warmer than normal weather has been putting a damper on the winter tourism season in the Yukon.

Trails and ponds have not frozen over yet and as a result some companies have had to cancel events.

Mount Sima ski hill, near Whitehorse, is open for now however managers are hoping for colder weather.

The ski hill may be forced to shut down again.

Temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal over the next few days before a cold snap next week.
