Green Fields during Night Being Struck by a Lightning

We are approaching peak thunderstorm season in the United States.

As such thunderstorms will pose a threat for large hail, damaging wind gusts and perhaps a couple of tornadoes in parts of the southern through central High Plains Thursday evening.

Also wind damage, isolated large hail and a tornado threat is forecast Friday and Friday night across parts of the southern Plains, Arklatex and Lower Mississippi Valley.
