Thunderstorm Threat Across U.S. South

Severe thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday into Wednesday night from parts of east Texas, eastern Oklahoma, and southeast Kansas into the lower and middle Mississippi Valley.

The areas most likely to see severe weather is Arkansas, northwest Louisiana, east Texas and extreme southeast Oklahoma where there is an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms.

Damaging wind and hail are the main threats. There is a 5 to 10% chance of tornado formation. Should any tornadoes form, they are expected to be of a weaker nature.
