Three Earthquakes Strike off Vancouver Island

On Sunday morning there were three earthquakes recorded off the coast of Vancouver Island.

The three were measured as a 5.4-magnitude, then a 4.8-magnitude, followed by a 4.2-magnitude.

The first earthquake happened around 8:20 a.m. according to Natural Resources Canada.

Natural Resources Canada centered the earthquake 149 km southwest of Port Hardy, British Columbia.

All of the earthquake were not felt on land and were not strong enough to generate a tsunami.
