A large area of low pressure is expected to develop over the southeastern United States later this week.

The system is expected to undergo rapid intensification and have in impact on Atlantic Canada through this weekend.

While considerable uncertainty exists regarding the track, we expect the system to bring heavy rain to New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland.

Labrador will probably see freezing rain and/or snow.

It is still far too early to provide specific amounts.

Keep checking back for updates.
