There were umpteen 911 calls to the Round Lake 911 center about a tornado that an emergency dispatcher to sound storm sirens at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday.

However the odd thing was that there was no warning issued. The Tornado slipped under the radar according to Emergency Officials. They say the tornado was on the ground before observers knew it.

Thankfully there were no injuries.

Amy Seeley, meteorologist with the National Weather Service out of Romeoville, said the tornado "developed very quickly," with a severe thunderstorm warning to Northern Lake County going out from 9:11 p.m. through 10:15 p.m.
However the tornado was on the ground from 8:38 to 8:53 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
