Temperatures to Take a Nose-Dive

Posted by on Thursday, January 12, 2017

After the rain ends on Friday temperatures will drop quite a bit across the province.

By Friday afternoon rain will change to flurries for most of the Islands, with highs in the mid-single digits there will be a lot of water from the rain combined with snow melt.

By Friday evening all of that water will freeze causing slippery surfaces.

Temperatures will also take a nose dive. We will see temperatures into the minus teens as daytime highs on Saturday. Wind chill values will dip into the -20 range. On the Northern Peninsula we could see wind chills of -30's.

Sunday will have a similar set up.
