System to push across Atlantic Canada

Posted by on Saturday, March 18, 2017

An area of low pressure will skip across Atlantic Canada starting on Sunday and continuing through Wednesday.

In Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island snow is likely for most areas. Along the eastern shores of Nova Scotia snow may mix with rain. There is a risk of freezing rain over Nova Scotia also.

Snow should begin over Nova Scotia near mid-day on Sunday.

On Monday the low will pay a visit to Newfoundland. There is the possibility of a widespread freezing rain event before a transition to rain. Some areas may see significant snow depending on which model pans out. Some areas could see wind gust to 100 km/h or stronger.
