An area of low pressure will move on to the southern coast of British Columbia on Thursday.

Rain is expected for coastal areas. Snow will fall over higher terrain.

There is also the possibility of seeing some isolated pockets of freezing rain.

30 to 40 mm of rain is possible in and around the Vancouver area. Whistler could pick up 5 to 10 cm of wet snow.

The system will linger throughout most of Friday before clearing out on Friday evening.
