Strong Winds Batter Saskatchewan

The strong winds that blew across Alberta on Saturday also impacted Saskatchewan.

Here is a summary issued by Environment Canada.

A strong low pressure system developed east of the Rocky Mountains on Saturday and moved into Saskatchewan Saturday evening. Strong winds, rain showers, and isolated thunderstorms were experienced across portions of southern and central Saskatchewan.

  • Leader: 109 km/h
  • Swift Current: 93 km/h
  • Maple Creek: 89 km/h
  • Lucky Lake: 87 km/h
  • Kindersley: 82 km/h
  • Eastend: 80 km/h
  • Mankota: 74 km/h
  • Regina: 74 km/h
  • Assiniboia: 67 km/h
  • Outlook: 67 km/h
  • Saskatoon: 67 km/h
