Strong Earthquake Shakes Mexico City

A magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck 5 kilometers east-northeast of Raboso, Mexico.

The earthquake struck at a depth of 51 kilometers.

Reports indicate that there is severe damage to buildings.

After the quake people were fleeing into the streets.

The extent of damage and injuries is not immediately clear.

Earlier this month, a powerful 8.1 magnitude killed at least 90 people in the country.

Today is the anniversary of a 1985 earthquake that did major damage to the capital.
