Strong Earthquake Rocks Peru

A 7.0 magnitude struck Peru early on Friday.

The earthquake stuck on March 1 at 3:50 local time.

It was at a depth of 257 km.

It was centered 21.1 km west-northwest of Muliani, Peru.

There were no reports of injuries.

It hit in the Andes region in a sparsely populated area.
