Strong Earthquake Recorded off Japan

There was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake recorded off Japan on Tuesday.

It was recorded at 9:39 pm local time at a depth of 53 km.

The earthquake was centered 16.0 km south-southeast of Nishinoomote, Japan.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

Japan is one of the most earthquake-prone areas in the world.
