Stormy Weekend Ahead for Parts of Ontario

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Wednesday, March 27, 2019

A stormy weekend is on the way to central Ontario.

An area of low pressure will strengthen over the Midwest on Friday and move into Ontario on Saturday and continue through Sunday.

Southern Ontario is likely to see some rain. There is a risk of freezing rain in some areas. Rainfall amounts will be highest in a line from the Grey-Bruce area, northeast to the Renfrew area. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are possible.

North of that, heavy snow and blowing snow is possible from Sault Ste. Marie to Timmins. In these areas, 15 to 25 cm of snow is possible.

This system is still several days out so we could see some changes. Keep checking back for updates.
