Stormy Weekend Ahead for NL

A broad area of low pressure will deliver some unsettled weather to Newfoundland over the next 24 hours. It will be followed by a secondary area of low pressure.

Snow will push across western Newfoundland beginning this afternoon. Along the west coast snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm is possible. The Avalon will mainly see rain.

On Sunday snow will continue along the west coast, central will see a mix of rain and snow, the Avalon will get a steady stream of rain.

By Monday afternoon the secondary low arrives bringing snow to Labrador and the Great Northern Peninsula. Ice pellets and rain is expected across the remainder of the west coast and parts of central Newfoundland. The Avalon will once again see rain.
