Posted by on Tuesday, March 22, 2016

A major low pressure system is expected to engulf Southern Ontario, Southern Quebec, and the Maritimes.

In Southern Ontario Wednesday night and Thursday morning significant snow is possible. There is also the risk of freezing rain and ice pellets over portions of the region.

A good chunk of Southern Quebec from Gatineau to Chaleur Bay on Thursday morning 10 cm of snow and ice pellets is likely before a prolonged period of freezing rain.

The Maritime Provinces snow will begin on Thursday evening but will change to ice pellets and freezing rain to rain along southernmost regions of New Brunswick by Friday Morning.
