Stormy Thursday in NL

Posted by on Wednesday, March 2, 2016

Thursday will be a wild one across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Rain will spread west to east across Newfoundland. Across the west coast rain will transition to snow. Once the snow starts the strong wind will make for reduced visibility. Rain will change to snow early in the afternoon.

Meanwhile across Labrador snow will persist throughout the day for western and northern sections. For southeastern Labrador snow is expected to change to ice pellets and eventually rain, with the risk of freezing rain. Scattered flurries and strong winds will continue though Friday.
