Stormy Thursday Across Newfoundland

Newfoundland is once again bearing the brunt of a winter storm.

Snow is well underway across the Island, snow will change to rain for most areas this morning. The Great Northern Peninsula will remain as snow.

Flurries changing to rain in the morning across the Avalon.

In Central Newfoundland snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm, and rainfall amounts of 5 to 10 mm, are expected.

15 to 20 cm is expected along the west coast of Newfoundland before a changeover to rain.

Across the south coast of Newfoundland 20 to 40 mm of rain is expected.

On the Great Northern Peninsula generally 10 cm of snow is likely.
