An area of low pressure developing over the U.S. Midwest will race toward Newfoundland and Labrador and impact our weather on Tuesday and Wednesday.

This low is expected to bring snow and rain to Labrador and just rain to Newfoundland.

Most of the province will also experience strong wind. Wind gusts may exceed 100 km/h in some areas.

Precipitation amounts are expected to be the highest in southeastern Labrador. Significant snowfall is likely inland with rain along parts of the coast.

In Newfoundland heavy rain is expected on Tuesday.

Conditions improve on Wednesday afternoon as the low drifts northward.
