Stormy Christmas for Labrador

Posted by on Wednesday, December 23, 2015

A strong and complex low will move across Labrador on Christmas Eve potentially delivering a prolong period of ice pellets to the Big Land.

Behind the low precipitation is expected to change to rain. Over northern Labrador snow will likely remain the dominant precipitation type.

Wind will be the main concern with this storm. The GDPS shows isobars packed tightly together. Wind gusts may reach 90 to 100 km/h Thursday and Friday.
