Storm Update for Newfoundland

Newfoundland is still being hounded by a winter storm that dropped close to 25 cm of snow on Corner Brook and is still lashing the Island. Areas along the west coast received snow, mixed precipitation in Central Newfoundland and Rain for the east coast.

Winds across the Island has at times gusted over 100 km/h and are still howling over many areas.
Across eastern Newfoundland temperatures are now falling rapidly, at one point St. John's International Airport was the warmest spot in Canada at 8.6°C.

There are also numerous power outages as well. Fogo is without power, as is Calvert, St. Michaels, Burnt Cove, Bauline, and in Grand Falls-Windsor for Wooddale and Grenfell Heights.
