Storm in the Eastern US may impact Canada

A storm that is currently crippling the eastern United States will move offshore today and make its way to Canadian Territory tonight.

There remains a fair degree of uncertainty on the storms exact track.

However we expect the storm to just graze southern and eastern Nova Scotia beginning early Sunday morning. Total accumulations of 10 or more centimeters is possible.

Meanwhile the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland is still up in the air as to what the storms impacts will be. The Canadian models shows little to no impact. The American GFS model brings snow over the Avalon. The US NAM model also brings snow to the Avalon. The UK model also brings snow to the Avalon. Snowfall amounts range anywhere from zero centimeters to as much as 10 cm.
