Water Flowing in the River

A large area of low pressure will make its presence known in Newfoundland and Labrador beginning on Wednesday and continuing through the night and into Thursday.

Labrador will see snow from this storm. Snowfall amounts of 5 to as much as 25 cm is possible.

In Newfoundland, precipitation will begin as snow and transition over to rain. For most of the Island, rainfall amounts will generally be about 5 to 15 mm. Along the south coast of the Island, rain will be more intense with amounts of 20 to 30 mm possible.

Strong wind will also be an issue for many areas.

Another low comes in behind that low Thursday and Friday.
