There are snowfall and winter storm watches in effect across central and southern Alberta.

An area of disturbed weather will begin to push across the area tonight.

The heaviest snow will fall from Grande Prairie to Medicine Hat.

About 10-20 cm of snow is likely by the weekend.

At the same time strong winds will cause blowing snow.

On Saturday night the low will push into southern Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba.
