Tropical Cyclone One is expected to smash into Myanmar Sunday and Monday bringing heavy rain and strong winds to the region. The storm is expected to pass north of Nay Pyi Taw, a city of about 900,000 people.

Mountains combined with low-lying marshlands will cause a concern for flash flooding and mudslides.

Tropical Cyclone One is expected to strengthen.

Flooding rains are the biggest threat from this system.

500 people died back in 2015 when Cyclone Komen casued extensive damage in the area.
