Imagine not having a snow day in 20 years but then the weather finally gets bad enough to close school.

Well, that happened in Butte, Montana on Tuesday.

A winter storm is moving across the region and has so far closed roads, triggered avalanches in the Pacific Northwest, and caused an Amtrak train to become stranded for 40 hours in Oregon.

The train had 183 passengers and crew and was traveling from Seattle to Los Angeles. It hit a downed tree in  Oakridge, Oregon and had to stop.
