Southwest Airlines Plane Skids off Runway

There were no injuries after a Southwest Airlines plane skidded off the runway in Omaha.

The area was being blasted by a winter storm at the time.

Officials say that the runway was icy at the time.

There were 150 passengers and six crew members on Flight 1643.

It departed Las Vegas and was scheduled to land in Omaha.

Following the incident the airport was closed for about 2.5 hours.

Some flights were diverted and canceled on Friday afternoon.
